Community Update: Water Treatment Facility Operations Restored

October 17, 2025

We’re pleased to report that the operations issue at our water treatment facility has been resolved, and full treatment processes have resumed.

As the system stabilizes, some customers may notice temporary elevations in chlorine residuals. These levels are currently within regulatory limits, though they may be higher than what our community typically experiences. We expect them to gradually return to normal as the facility continues to operate smoothly.

We extend our sincere thanks to our dedicated operators at NW Natural Water for their swift response and professionalism. We also want to recognize Tim Gross, former BBWD Board President and long-time community member, for his valuable expertise and coordination support throughout this process.

Water System Update – Please Conserve

October 14, 2025

Dear Customers,

We are currently experiencing a temporary but serious issue at the treatment facility due to a flow meter failure and are operating from our storage tank. A replacement part is expected to arrive soon, and we anticipate returning to full operations by the weekend.

In the meantime, we ask everyone to help conserve water by:

• Turning off leaking faucets
• Avoiding outdoor watering
• Refraining from washing vehicles, boats, or buildings
• Practicing other basic water conservation measures

We’d like to thank our operators at NW Natural Water for their rapid and dedicated response to this issue. Their efforts are helping to keep water service uninterrupted while repairs are underway.
